The Licensing and Registration (L&R) Department is tasked with the licensing and registration of all financial institutions and intermediaries regulated by NAMFISA.
The L&R Department is also responsible for the deregistration of these entities and for carrying out fitness and propriety assessments of the key persons appointed by them. The L&R Department further processes name reservations, changes of entities’ details (e.g., names, addresses, contact details, financial year ends, forms of incorporation etc.), transfers of ownership, amalgamations, the issuance of good standing letters and pension funds' section 14 transfers.
